Cole Pulice (they/them) is an electroacoustic saxophonist, improviser, and composer based in Oakland, California.

For our first sonic salon of 2026, Pulice (pronounced puh-lee-ché) delivers a humming portal into other worlds. Pulice’s work combines saxophone and wind synth with live signal processing, opening a space of its own in the convergence of acoustic and digital worlds. By way of improvisation and experimental composition, they at times find a “dream-like surrealism of betweenness” (Pulice). 

Their most recent album, Land’s End Eternal, (Leaving Records, 2025), breathes meditative ambient jazz, while expanding their compositional palette to include layers of electric guitar and lush choral arrangements. The result is a prismatic collection of pastoral chamber jazz in six parts. 

In their span of work, you’ll find shades of Coltrane meeting the technological advance of a maximalist saxophone drone, and the influence of synthesizer arpeggios of video game soundtracks.
