Tribilin Sound is the project of Álvaro Ernesto, Peruvian DJ, producer, and pioneer in the tropical bass and electronic cumbia movements (pictured above with Afro Bomba). He’s been active as a selector since the late 1990’s, and creating as “Tribilin Sound” since 2006. His distinct style is the crossing of his cultural roots, urban identity, and futuristic notions for the global dancefloor; where cumbia, chicha, and Afro-Peruvian rhythms meet electronic elements that take us somewhere entirely new.

He is a core member of the curation team for the Cosmic Llamas label, and has appeared on key international compilations for labels such as Strut Records, Eck Echo, Sello Regional, Compost Records, Folcore and Hawaii – Bonsaï. His international recognition has extended to the worlds of art and fashion since 2019, when he composed the soundtrack for Kenzo’s show at the Carrousel du Louvre during Paris Fashion Week.
